Loose Nukes and no diaries?

On August 30, 2007 a B-52 left Minot AFB with 5 or 6 armed nuclear warheads mounted on cruise missles.  They didn't know they had them on board.  Even worse, the nuclear armory in Minot didn't even know they were missing.  I guess they only do inventory once a month.

From the stories I've seen about how the Air Force has been taken over by fundies I suppose it's a good thing that they didn't know what they had on board.  I'm sure that some of those guys are just itching for armageddon.

I guess this is a case of you protect your country with the Air Force you have instead of the Air Force you wish you had.

I scanned recent diaries and did not find a diary on this.  I thought it was too important to ignore but if there's a better writer out there ready to tackle this, I'll delete.
